(Answer) (Category) 1st Class GradeBook Support : (Category) Troubleshooting - GradeBook Won't Start/Run Properly :
I am receiving "16 bit windows subsystem" error
If you are receiving a "16 bit windows subsystem, C:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS.Dos and microsoft windows applications." error this could be caused by a number of things.
It usually means that your autoexc.nt has been moved, removed or is faulty. This could be from an improper installation of windows or if you have spy-ware or similar software that has been removed often it will remove this file also.
Solution: There should a copy of this file Autoexec.nt in your Windows/Repair directory, make a copy of this file and place it in C:\Windows\system32 file, then you will need to restart your computer. If this doesn't solve your problem please make sure you have all the most recent Windows updates and if this still doesn't work please reinstall windows.
