(Answer) (Category) 1st Class GradeBook Support : (Category) Backing grades up / Transferring grades to another computer :
Backing up to diskette does not seem to work. What should I do?
First of all start off with a new diskette. Often this can be caused by an error on the diskette itself. Try again. If that does not fix the problem then upgrade to the latest version of 1st Class GradeBook. Instructions to upgrade can be found here: http://1st-class-software.com/cgi-bin/fom.cgi?file=14 If that still does not fix the problem then check to see if there is at least 520k of conventional memory free. You can find this out by clicking on START - RUN and typing in "mem" (without the quotes) and pressing enter. Make sure the conventional memory free is at least 520k (520,000 bytes). If it is not you may need to have your system administrator / computer consulant free up some of your conventional memory. If you have memmaker installed on your computer you can run it to automatically free up conventional memory. If you are unsure how to do this you should consult your system administrator / computer consultant.
